CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

In first place, I will talk about my study programme, and then about the changes I could be made it. The curriculum of my carreer (anthropology), in my opinion, it´s very diverse. For example, in my first semester, I had Latin American History, Philosophy, Biology, Anthropology and Archaeology, so, this curriculum was made thinking in a comprehensive education for the students, beyond the required subjects for the three mentions. Also, these has reflected in the next semesters, with courses like Chilean History, Sociology and Psychology.

It could be the intentions are good, but in the practice, the carreer doesn´t work perfectly. Sometimes, teachers only think in their own problems and times, and not in the students, so, make so much works, tests, readings, turn the student´s workload very heavy.

Another thing that not work very well, are the classes. Some teachers are not very pedagogical, and their teaching methods hasn´t motivation for the classroom. Some just read the power points, or teach the contents slowly, or make the class without a good dynamic.

Also, there´re good things in anthropology too. Actually, the department (Facso) and the entire campus, brings facilities for the students, with more buildings for classrooms and study rooms, computation rooms and why not, coffee shops. Additionally, teachers are permitting more the use of the technologies. For example, make online tests, or allowing to the students send works to the university´s platform, showing videos in the classes, etc.  

Finally, if the responsibility of make the study programme was mine, I try to improve the negative thing I mentioned before, especially the teaching methods, because it happens that some important subjects are teach badly, so the students (like me) don´t learn key elements for their educational training.
